Each month we distribute a newsletter to our parents. The newsletter highlights events and activities happening at our school and in each of our classes.
THE FAIRMOUNT SCHOOL SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER
We are looking forward to the 2008-09 school year! School opens on September 2nd for full day children, the preschool program starts on September 3rd. Please have all the paperwork for your child submitted by Sept. 2nd.
Please make sure that you sign your child in and out school every time you drop them off and pick them up. Also, keep an eye on the area by the sign in/out book for notices. We will have a snack sign-up sheet for family contributions. We ask that you please try to stick to the healthier snacks. Also, please do not send any snacks with peanuts or chocolate because of allergy reasons.
PLEASE REMEMBER SCHOOL STARTS AT 9:00 AM. We ask that you DO NOT bring your child to school any later than 9:05am as this will interrupt the classes that are already in progress. Also, please be aware of pick-up times. If your child stays only for the morning program they must be picked up by 11:30. Any child who stays only through lunch must be picked up by 12:30. The remaining pick-up times are 3:00 and 5:30. Any late pick-ups will be charged by the hour.
Children coming to school before 7:30am are welcome to bring their breakfast but those coming in after 7:30am must eat breakfast at home. Please send ice packs in the lunch boxes to keep lunches cold for the children. It is our policy that we cannot heat/re-heat food. If you wish your child to have a hot lunch please send their lunch in a thermos.
We are asking all the children (babies included) come to school with their belongings labeled. Please write your child's name in a visible place on all lunch boxes, coats, extra clothes, bedding, etc. Also, please keep the toys from home at home. We have lots of fun toys for your child's enjoyment at school!
If you have not received a copy of the school calendar please let us know.
Lastly, don't forget tuition must be received by the first of each month! There will be an automatic late fee for anyone who pays tuition after the first. All checks should be mailed to the following address:
