LYNNE

A lifelong resident of Hunterdon County, Lynne Baka is co-founder and co-owner of First Step Learning Center. Beginning her career outside of education, Lynne combines her extensive business and management background with her passion for children’s learning process. Attaining her BS in Elementary and Early Childhood Education, a member of NJCCA and CITE, she uses her knowledge as an educator and director in her active support of Special Education in New Jersey and Foster Care. She is mother of one daughter who is in high school.

JILL

A career educator, Jill Leary’s background teaching elementary education K-3 provides the foundation of her commitment to children’s learning. As co-founder and co-owner of First Step Learning Centers, she calls on her extensive experience to implement and facilitate the education of children with all learning styles. A member of NJCCA and CITE, she is a proponent of alternative teaching techniques and encourages the emphasis of each child’s unique identity. She holds a BA in Elementary and Early Childhood Education and is the mother of two grown children.
